World Nature Conservation Day

July 29, 2022 7 min read

Nature is a gift and very often we end up taking it for granted. Water, air and soil play an important role in keeping us nourished. Celebrated on July 28th every year, World Nature Conservation Day is a reminder that a healthy environment is the foundation of a healthy and flourishing civilization.

Conservation simply defined is the care and protection of our natural or existing resources so that they aren’t misused and go extinct ahead of time. Conservation includes mindful consumption of resources, avoiding pollution and exercising control while using these resources. Conservation is similar to preservation, but while both relate to the protection of nature it is still different in several ways. Conservation is concerned with the balanced use of nature by humans, for our survival we have to ensure that we don’t misuse natural resources by causing permanent damage. Preservation on the other hand means we can save something from harm, for instance, a monument can be corroded over time and needs to be preserved.

Conservation in this sense is the responsibility of each and every individual.

They grow near rainforests and need humidity, rain and warm weather to sustain growth. The ongoing global warming has become the reason behind the shortage of the plantation. The scare that we may run out of chocolates in years to come is real. If this is bothering you then don’t fret,

How do we conserve nature?
